Acerca de mí
I was born and raised in Dublin, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. I had a lot of fun growing up as a triplet, in addition to having an older sister. Wanting to be more independent and experience a bigger city, I headed to Chicago, where I attended Northwestern University. There, I volunteered at a local health clinic. That experience solidified my desire to pursue a career helping others. I moved back home to Ohio, where I attended medical school at the Ohio State University. I then returned to Chicago, where I completed my residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago. Developing a love for pulmonary and critical care, I stayed on at the University of Chicago to complete my fellowship. I was lucky enough to meet my husband while completing my training. While I was in Chicago, my brother moved to the Pacific Northwest, and when I visited, I fell in love with the area, returning as often as I could. I am happy to have joined such a great group of physicians with Kaiser Permanente.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am a pulmonary and critical care physician who takes care of patients both in the hospital (either in the intensive care unit or in pulmonary consultation) and in the outpatient clinic. I work with a wonderful and compassionate group of physicians who are are all dedicated to using a team-based approach to provide high-quality care to patients. I feel extremely fortunate to be a physician, helping people through vulnerable times in their lives. I take an individualized approach with each patient and think it is important to provide them with information and guidance, empowering them to make the best decision for the care that they would like to receive.
Cómo vivo bien
Family is extremely important to me, and I find that I can always relax when around my husband, parents, and siblings. Being out in nature has a calming and meditative effect for me, and I enjoy hiking and climbing.
