Hello, everyone. Welcome to my Web page. I am currently practicing rheumatology at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. I am glad to have the opportunity to introduce myself and my practice. I look forward to meeting with you and helping you with your rheumatologic concerns.
When I was young, several of my family members developed rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. I saw what they experienced and how medicine changed their lives. During my internal medicine training, I had several quite-complicated cases that were finally uncovered by rheumatologists, and appropriate use of immunosuppressant's that eventually saved lives. The complexity of the immune system, the wide spectrum of autoimmune diseases, and new advances in diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases, attracted me day by day. After I completed my internal medicine residency at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, I stepped forward and received rheumatology subspecialty training at UCLA Medical Center. The intense, yet well-rounded, training provided me with both knowledge and experience in dealing with the most common and the most difficult cases in rheumatology, and paved a solid path to start the journey of healing.
To broaden my knowledge and experience, I stayed at UCLA as a rheumatology clinical instructor until the end of 2012, before I joined Kaiser Permanente. Here at Kaiser Permanente, I am very glad to practice evidence-based, full-spectrum rheumatology in a collegial group of physicians. I have worked very hard with my colleagues to provide the best care I can to all my patients. I have used the most up-to-date and appropriate treatment for my family members, and I will do the same for all my patients, too.
To stay well, I like to walk, dance, swim, and jump rope. Our muscles and joints are designed for us to use constantly. I believe exercising regularly will not only maintain your body's health, but also give you a happy feeling. So, my friend, keep moving!
