Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to introduce myself, and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente with wonderful colleagues and members, and look forward to partnering with you in your care.
Since my undergraduate years at UCLA, I knew I wanted to establish my career and make my home in Southern California. I spent the next nine years in Chicago to attend medical school and complete my general surgery residency. I absolutely fell in love with the city. Despite the demands and pressures of my education, I still found time to travel around the US and abroad. Sharing the experiences with my wife made these years all the more enjoyable. After moving to Sacramento to complete a fellowship in minimally invasive, bariatric, and robotic surgery at UC Davis, we finally returned to Southern California.
I work with a team of exceptional surgeons who not only provide world-class care for our members, but also bring innovations to the field of surgery. The way surgery is performed has changed radically in the past couple of decades. We now see better outcomes that enable members to get back to enjoying their lives more quickly. This is my inspiration when I come to work every day. I am committed to bringing the latest in minimally invasive surgical technologies and techniques to our Kaiser Permanente members. I am proud of what I do, and enjoy the collaboration with my colleagues and members every day.
Staying active is more fun when it involves other people. Whether it's swimming, cycling, hiking, or my personal favorite – basketball, I always enjoy it more with my friends and family. As much as I prefer team sports, once in a while I do love the challenge of a one-on-one basketball shootout.
