Acerca de mí
Greetings, folks, and welcome to my Web page. I am very pleased to have this opportunity to briefly describe my practice and myself, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born and raised in Taiwan. I received my medical degree from the China Medical College in 1988. I came to the U.S. in 1989 and obtained a Master of Science degree in anatomy and cell biology at USC in 1991. I then completed my internal medicine residency training at LAC+USC Medical Center in 1994, followed by general and then interventional cardiology fellowship training at Kaiser Permanente’s Los Angeles Medical Center, which I completed in 1998. I have been a practicing general and interventional cardiologist at the Los Angeles Medical Center since 1999. I am also an associate clinical professor in medicine at UCLA.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I perform cardiac catheterization procedures (including coronary angioplasty and stents) two days a week. On the other days, I work in the ambulatory cardiology department seeing patients, reading echocardiograms (ultrasound examinations of the heart), and staffing the pacemaker clinic. I serve as the physician-in-charge (chief) of the Cardiology Division and am the program director of our Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship Program. I strongly believe in practicing medicine that is based on current evidence and research. I had served as the Los Angeles Medical Center’s area research chairman between 2008 and 2013.
Cómo vivo bien
I strive to achieve a good balance between work and play, attending to my professional and personal needs while fulfilling my obligations to my patients and my family. I enjoy swimming, tennis, and cross training, and reading a wide variety of books and magazines.
