Welcome to my Web page. I’m glad to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and to tell you about my professional practice.
I grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member. As a child, I suffered from severe asthma, spending many long nights in the emergency room. My Kaiser Permanente pediatrician and allergist both cared for me for more than 10 years and showed me how a physician could play an integral role in the life of someone with a chronic disease. After completing my residency training in internal medicine, these memories guided me as I chose to practice at Kaiser Permanente.
I currently serve as the regional director for clinical trials for Kaiser Permanente in Southern California. At Kaiser Permanente, we believe that it’s important to offer clinical trials to patients with diseases such as cancer, HIV, or hepatitis C. Our clinical trials are also helping to answer questions about what are the best medical practices for a multitude of conditions. My personal clinical practice at the Los Angeles Medical Center focuses primarily on the care of patients living with HIV. In addition, I have been the principal investigator of more than 100 clinical trials as a part of our very active infectious disease research program. I also serve as the medical director of HIV/AIDS services for Kaiser Permanente in Southern California, conduct research apart from clinical trials, and teach residents and medical students at our Los Angeles Medical Center.
During the time when I’m not at work, I enjoy exercising, spending time with family and friends, and experiencing the many culinary options in Southern California.
