Welcome to my Web page! I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and to tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to have worked at Kaiser Permanente for over 20 years, because of my wonderful colleagues and patients. I practice internal medicine and emergency medicine. This experience led me to create the Observation Unit at Kaiser Permanente, which allows our patients to be observed for 24 hours. I have seen many of my patients here from the Emergency and Internal Medicine Departments. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I am a native Southern Californian, born in Los Angeles and raised near the beaches, where I was able to surf all along the Southern California coast. Even when I was a young child, I knew that I wanted to be a doctor, in part because of the compassionate care I received and witnessed, and especially because of the care my grandmother received in the last years of her life. I know that I want to be able to make a real difference in peoples' lives, and medicine gives me that opportunity.
Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect and help people in a meaningful way, listening and responding to what people may need. As a doctor, I am honored to have people trust me with their care and confide in me their concerns. I strive to treat them as I would my own family.
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. My wife and I volunteer for the Armenian Bone Marrow Society, and also volunteer in working with the University of California at Riverside to give educational opportunity to under-privileged young people who show interest in medicine. My wife and I try to give back to the community, and we feel honored to do so. Finally, we make time for our three children, to simply relax and enjoy one another.
