Acerca de mí
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born in the Philippines on the southern island called Mindanao, in the city of Davao. I am the youngest of six siblings. After medical school I decided to go to the United States, where I finished my residency training in New York. Then I went for my fellowship training in Los Angeles, where I met my wife. We were married in 2000 and went back to the Philippines. After seven years of private practice in Manila and the birth of our three daughters, we decided to return to the United States and live in Southern California. I love spending time with my family, going to parks, visiting relatives and friends, and traveling.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
Gastroenterology is an interesting field. It involves care of the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and colon) as well as the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. I gained an appreciation of this subspecialty when my father was diagnosed with colon cancer while I was in medical school. Most of the time in my practice, after listening to my patients explain their concerns and describe their symptoms, is spent doing procedures to more accurately diagnose and treat their medical condition, such as upper or lower gastrointestinal tract endoscopies. I view each patient as a unique individual who has specific needs, and I treat each of my colleagues as a significant member of a team who plays a key role in delivering much-needed service.

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me, and that is why we came to the United States as a family. With my wife to partner with me in mentoring our three little ones, I spend most of my time with my family after work. I also make it a priority to set aside time to exercise, relax, or read.
