Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. It is a privilege to introduce myself, and share a bit about my practice.
I was born and raised in Afghanistan. Fleeing war, my family and I moved to India, and lived there for two years before immigrating to Southern California in the early 1990s. My interest in medicine began in high school when I took a human anatomy and physiology class. I was fascinated and intrigued by how our bodies are designed and function. I am passionate about helping people, and chose to pursue a career in medicine because I could apply my love of science to alleviate human suffering. I pursued a bachelor's degree in biology at UC Irvine, and then earned my medical degree at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in the Bay Area. I returned to Southern California to complete my internal medicine residency program at Kaiser Permanente’s Los Angeles Medical Center.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am an electrophysiology hospitalist board-certified in internal medicine. I believe in providing my patients the most current, evidence-based holistic care, and delivering that care with respect, trust, and compassion. My role as an electrophysiology hospitalist involves admitting, attending, discharging, and consulting on patients who have cardiac electrical abnormalities that may require electrophysiology studies, radiofrequency ablations, defibrillators or pacemakers.
Cómo vivo bien
It is crucial for physicians to take care of themselves in order to provide the best care for their patients. Since I believe in preventive medicine, I eat healthy and stay physically active. I go to the gym almost every day after work, and play basketball at least twice a week. I love hiking the Griffith Observatory hills while enjoying the view of Los Angeles. I also love to spend quality time with my family, dine at different restaurants, and travel around the world.
