Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born in Saigon in 1967, at the height of the Vietnam War. My family came to the United States in 1979, and I grew up in San Francisco. I received my undergraduate education from the University of Pennsylvania and my medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. I chose a career in medicine because I believe that it's through medicine that I can most effectively contribute to society. I enjoy using the knowledge I have gained through learning and life experience.
With health care becoming more and more technological and complex, I am dedicated to provide my patients with high-quality personal care. Even in a large organization like Kaiser Permanente that includes thousands of health care professionals, I strongly believe in the value of one-on-one relationships between doctor and patient as well as between colleagues. I am fortunate to belong to a group with six other dedicated physicians and nine excellent nurses. We work together extremely well as a unit, supporting one another as we strive to ensure that every patient's experience is a positive one.
I enjoy spending time with my family. My children are a great source of happiness for me. Just seeing them smile and hearing them laugh takes all the stress and tension away. I strongly believe in a balanced lifestyle as a way to take care of our health, and I advocate this view with my family and my patients.
