Acerca de mí
Hello to all. I'm excited to share with you some information about me and hope that one day we can meet in person.
I want to first share that I was born in San Diego in a Kaiser Permanente hospital. During my own pediatric visits, I decided I wanted to be a doctor. Later on, I became aware of my interest in working with children and their families when I was an educator at Sea World. Once I decided that Pediatrics was for me, I completed my medical training on the East Coast. My internship and residency in Pediatrics was completed at New York Medical College, where I was awarded the Gustav Stringle award for the hardest working resident. I then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Yale University School of Medicine. While at Yale, I was selected for and served as the Medical Director for Camp Clara Barton, a camp for children with diabetes. I returned to San Diego in 2005, where I treated patients in group private practice at Rady Children's Hospital and Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers as well as in a private practice setting. Returning to where I first decided to become a doctor, I am excited to now be a Kaiser Permanente pediatrician.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I believe that the key to empowering children and their families is through education. Whether the challenges are medical, social, psychological, or developmental, I am committed to teaching members about how best to manage any and all hurdles. I enjoy caring for all ages in pediatrics, from the newborn of first-time parents to the teenager heading off to college.
Cómo vivo bien
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my immediate and extended family in San Diego. I am blessed with the support of my loving wife, Vanessa, who is a pediatric dietitian at Rady Children’s Hospital. I love the outdoors, hiking, the ocean, and everything Star Wars and Disney. I value every minute of quality time that I spend with my 2 sons, Devin and Max.
