Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to offer this chance for you to learn more about me and the philosophy that guides my hospital practice.
I was born in Los Angeles and then moved with my family to the San Gabriel Valley when I was 6 years old. I finished my undergraduate studies in biochemistry at UCLA. After I obtained my degree, I pursued my medical studies at the American University of the Caribbean. I then had the opportunity to study clinical medicine in the United Kingdom and, subsequently, to do further training at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California. I completed my internship and residency at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. Currently, I’m the associate program director for our new Internal Medicine Residency Program, helping to train our new generation of doctors.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
The hospital is usually not a place where people like to be. My job as a physician who cares for our members who are hospitalized means it’s my responsibility to help them understand why they’re in the hospital, what our treatment plan and eventual discharge plan will be, and how to possibly avoid another hospital stay for the same problem. What attracted me to hospital medicine was the opportunity to help people improve day by day. I believe the first step in any treatment plan is for the patient and his or her physician to discuss the plan as a team.
Cómo vivo bien
I’ve been happily married for more than 10 years. My wife and I have a son and daughter who keep me in touch with my youthful side. I love to play basketball and tennis with friends whenever I have the chance. I also enjoy traveling as a way to learn about our culturally diverse world.
