Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page! I hope you will be able to get to know me a little better so that you will feel comfortable with me if you choose me as your treating physician. Everyone is unique, and it is important to find someone you feel at ease with in a time that may be difficult for you. I strive to make people feel comfortable, while trying to provide high-quality care, always keeping the needs of my patients in mind.
I was born and raised in Northern California and attended UC Berkeley. When I graduated from college, I wanted to gain a different perspective on life and have new experiences. I decided to go to podiatric medical school outside of California and moved to Chicago where I attended the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. After four years in the cold, I moved east to even colder environments, completing my primary podiatric medical residency at Botsford General Hospital in Michigan and my surgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center South Side. My surgical residency was very hands-on, and I was exposed to a wide variety of ways to treat the same problem. While in my last year of residency, I was one of only three podiatrists in the United States to do an AO/ASIF international trauma fellowship in Dresden, Germany, which allowed me to see a different approach to treating patients with foot and ankle problems.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I work with a small, close-knit group of podiatrists who are skilled and hardworking and who share a belief that the patient comes first. We work in a group practice and may take care of each other's patients, treating each patient as we would our own. I welcome patients to participate in their care; by participating, they increase the chances that the treatment will be successful. Part of my role in this success is to explain things clearly and thoroughly to help patients understand the problem and not feel overwhelmed but at ease. In my practice, I treat a variety of ailments that range from simple nail problems to reconstructive foot procedures and trauma of the foot and ankle.
Cómo vivo bien
I believe in practicing what I preach. I try to eat well, drink lots of water, and exercise. We all get older but we don't have to feel our age. For me, doing things I love keeps me happy in mind, body, and spirit. I love to travel, explore new places, and do adventurous things that make me feel alive. I prefer the outdoors but I can be content reading a good book or engaged in a good conversation. I love eating good food and am always willing to try something once, which can be a great adventure in itself!
