Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Kaiser Permanente Web page! It is very important to have a connection to your personal physician, and I hope this information will help you get to know me better as I share some of my background with you.
Until age 5, I grew up overseas in both Japan and the Philippines, which cultivated a love of travel and experiencing new and different cultures. My family later settled in the California high desert area, where I trained in ballet and rode horses until college. For my undergraduate education, I attended Gonzaga University in Washington state and am a great fan of their sports and basketball teams. After a few years working in the private sector, I joined the Navy on a scholarship to study medicine. I completed school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. After several deployments to the Arabian Gulf area, as well as managing a clinic for the Navy in the greater San Diego area, I elected to complete my active duty service to settle in one place. I am honored to have served in the Navy and equally honored to practice medicine as a civilian physician where I can be also be home to raise my family and spend more time with my husband and our daughter.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I strongly believe in preventive medicine by taking a proactive role in life and in health care. I strongly encourage prevention to the extent possible, including a healthy diet and exercise, but using medicine when appropriate and necessary. I enjoy partnering with members for the goal of living a healthy happy and long life.
Cómo vivo bien
To live well, I spend quality time with my family and friends. I love to recharge by spending any free time near the ocean, paddle boarding, kayaking, or boating. We enjoy cooking healthy as a family, boating on the coastal waters, and traveling to new places. I love to experience new and different foods and cultures and enjoy sharing these experiences with my daughter and husband. We are extremely blessed to live in San Diego area, where we are active in our local church and enjoy participating in our community through multiple volunteer activities at food banks, a local teen pre-medicine club called Hippocrates Circle, and also at a nearby children's home in Tijuana that holds a special place in my family's heart and where we bring some extra joy and good educational opportunities to children without parents.
