I am glad to have this opportunity to introduce myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I am originally from the East Coast. I grew up in Long Island, New York. I had my undergraduate studues in Connecticut, medical school in NYC, and finished my medical training in Boston. I met my husband in Boston and he convinced me to move out to Southern California! We love it here and enjoy the wonderful weather and beaches. We now have two young daughters. We feel very lucky to be able to live and work in Southern California.
I am a pulmonary, critical care, and sleep physician. This means my practice ranges greatly from taking care of critically ill patients to seeing patients in a clinic to reading sleep studies. As a physician, I think of the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership. I don't always know the answers, but I try my best to educate you on what I am thinking and what my recommendations are. In my sleep practice, I work closely with you to understand what your sleep problems are. I also work closely with our sleep technicians to find solutions that would best fit you. In my pulmonary practice, I work with you to navigate the tests needed for a diagnosis, to understand your diagnosis, and to provide treatments needed to make you feel better. I really find working at Kaiser rewarding, enjoyable, and fulfilling. I hope that translates to being a kind, emphatic, and mindful doctor.
I spend every moment I can with my family. We are new parents! My husband and I love taking care of our two young daughters. I also enjoy music, cooking, and more recently design projects around our house.
