Acerca de mí
Greetings! I am a general cardiologist practicing at the Kraemer Medical Offices in Anaheim.
I come from a scientific background. Prior to entering medicine, I taught biology at Harvard University and conducted research in population genetics and population ecology. I’ve done fieldwork in the Rocky Mountains, Central and South America, and Indonesian Borneo. Despite my best efforts, questions of why there are so many fig trees in the forest remain unanswered. My medical training was at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. I completed my residency in internal medicine at Scripps Clinic in San Diego, where I served a year as chief resident. My cardiology fellowship was also at the Scripps Clinic. I practiced cardiology in San Diego, Eugene, and Phoenix before joining Kaiser Permanente Southern California in 2004. During that time, I enjoyed teaching residents and fellows, and I was involved in wide-ranging research projects ranging from pulmonary hypertension in Gaucher Disease to platelet integrins.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I practice all aspects of cardiology except for angioplasty. I have particular interests in echocardiography, pacemaker implantation and cardiac rhythm management, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, ischemic heart disease, and myocardial infarction. I am active in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. I am an advocate of the concept that knowledge is power. I believe that if someone understands what is happening to them, they can gain personal power and become informed decision makers in the management of their problems. This is why I make a point of teaching members about their conditions.
