I am pleased to have a chance to tell you about myself and the outstanding team that will help provide care for you during your pregnancy. Pregnancy is one of the most important parts of life, and our goal is to provide you with comprehensive care of the highest quality during this time. We hope to provide you with an experience that you will cherish for a lifetime.
Although not a native Californian, I have lived in Southern California since 1975. I was born in London, England, and after a short stay there and in India, I moved with my family to California. I have lived most of my life in Orange County. I am married and have two wonderful children. My wife is also a physician (a pathologist). I chose a career in maternal fetal medicine because it gives me the opportunity to help women with high-risk pregnancies throughout the process, from taking the history and doing an initial physical to performing diagnostic tests, such as ultrasound, and then offering medical and surgical treatment options.
As a specialist in maternal fetal medicine, my goal is to help coordinate care for all maternity patients, but my focus is on high-risk patients, including those with medical problems such as diabetes and hypertension or pregnancies complicated fetal abnormalities or multiple gestation. Our core team consists of obstetricians, nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians, and support staff. Together as a team and with the support of all the other specialties, our goal is to provide you with the best possible care.
Having a balanced life is very important for everyone. Away from the hospital, I enjoy spending time with my family doing all types of activities, taking family vacations, and helping my extended family with our family business.
