Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page! I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician and physician administrator at Kaiser Permanente.
I’ve wanted to be a physician ever since I was a child when I would see my father—who is now a retired Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center obstetrician—leave in the middle of the night to deliver babies. I left the South Bay to attend medical school at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, but I always wanted to return to the Southern California to serve the community I grew up in. In 2012, I also transitioned into my role as assistant chief of the Department of Internal Medicine, and physician-in-charge of the hospitalist division. I feel fortunate to be able to work at Kaiser Permanente—both as a clinician, as well as an administrator who is working to make our organization the best health care delivery system in the country. I feel fortunate to be able to live out that dream.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I’m an internal medicine hospitalist ,and have been practicing at the South Bay Medical Center for over 6 years now. As a hospitalist, I take particular pride in caring for members with acute illnesses requiring hospitalization. Being a doctor allows people to share with me their innermost secrets, fears, and hopes. It’s a privilege to help members understand what concerns them, translate what they may not grasp, get them appropriate evaluations, and communicate with them and their families. I feel very honored that members have entrusted me with their care, and I strive to treat them as I would my own family.
Cómo vivo bien
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I love spending time with my family, and attending sporting events—especially my beloved Los Angeles Lakers. I also enjoy traveling, and make it a priority to set aside time to just relax, read a good book, or catch a movie.
