Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. The challenging work, the great colleagues, and wonderful members all contribute to make me feel very fortunate to be part of Kaiser Permanente.
Originally from New Jersey, I moved to Los Angeles to complete my residency training in emergency medicine. I was drawn to Los Angeles by the beautiful weather. I found I enjoy exploring the cultural diversity present throughout the city. Along the way, I had the good fortune to meet the woman who became my wife, and we now have 2 wonderful children. From an early age, I have always known I wanted to be a physician. I chose emergency medicine because of the tremendous variety it offers. There is variety in the medical challenges I face and in the patients I meet as well. In a single day, I may take care of a newborn baby, someone past their 100th birthday, and many people in between. The broad range of clinical challenges and the variety of patients I encounter keep me interested in what the next day might hold.
Working in the Emergency Department is a very special opportunity to connect with and help people in a meaningful way. I come into contact with people of every age and background on a daily basis. I pride myself on my ability to listen to every patient's unique concerns and address them to the best of my ability. I strive to provide the best possible medical care and to ensure that each patient is involved in and understands every step of his or her treatment plan. I feel honored that patients have entrusted me with their care, and I treat them as I would my own family.
In today's fast-paced world, it is often difficult to balance work and family life and still find time to nurture yourself (mind, body, and spirit). In the past few years, I've begun to incorporate this balanced approach into my own life. I've started learning to play the guitar and swim for exercise. I hope to play an important role in my patients' lives, and to keep them healthy so they are able to enjoy every aspect of their lives.
