Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center’s Orthopedic Department because of my wonderful colleagues. We make a great team.
I was born in Israel, but moved to Los Angeles with my parents at age ten. I received my bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology from CSU Northridge, and a master’s degree in biochemistry from UCLA. I got married right before moving to Chicago for medical school. While I was attending medical school, my wife worked as a neonatal ICU nurse, and kept me out of trouble, well-fed, and happy. During my five years of orthopedic residency at Ohio State University, we had a son and then, two years later, a daughter. By then, we’d had enough of the cold weather and moved back to beautiful, warm, and sunny California. Kaiser Permanente was my first choice—I liked the fact I could concentrate on the care of members without having to worry about the business end of medicine.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
We have a great orthopedic department, where my colleagues and I work very well together and have great respect for one another. Our department has easy access to all of Kaiser Permanente’s orthopedic surgeons in Southern California, which is a great resource. Ongoing education is practiced and encouraged in our department. My special interest is total knee and hip replacement surgeries.
Cómo vivo bien
I find balance by spending time with my family and friends. My two little Buckeyes are now grown-up Trojans. My daughter is married and is an administrator/teacher—she’s doing well and very happy. My son is an orthopedic resident and would like to practice at Kaiser Permanente after his training. He’s also married and has made my wife and I very proud grandparents! During my free time, I’m an avid mountain and road cyclist. I also enjoy all the new devices and technology that are available to us today.
