Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I hope this page will help you learn a little bit about me and make you feel more comfortable seeing me as a physician.
I was born and raised in Southern California—I grew up in Brea. I attended college at the Air Force Academy and medical school at Texas A&M University. I then returned to California for my residency training at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center. I’ve been here ever since, practicing both family medicine and sports medicine. I am board-certified in both specialties.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
My primary specialty is family medicine. I enjoy seeing members of all ages—from newborns to grandparents. I played basketball in high school and college, and sports have been a lifelong passion for me. This led me to pursue training and certification in sports medicine. I care for a wide variety of athletes in my practice, and I’ve served for many years as the team physician at Pomona College and Los Osos High School. In addition, I enjoy teaching medical students, residents, and sports medicine fellows. I serve as co-director of the sports medicine fellowship training program, and I’m on the family medicine residency faculty at the Fontana Medical Center.

I believe exercise is the most important medicine you can take. For that reason, I constantly encourage my members to engage in 30 minutes of moderate exercise—such as a brisk walk—five or more days per week. I certainly try my best to practice what I preach. On most days, I run outside or on the treadmill for 30 minutes, and then spend another 30 minutes lifting light weights and doing sit-ups. I enjoy golf, water skiing in the summer, and snow skiing in the winter. I have found that I feel and sleep so much better when I exercise regularly.
