Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have this opportunity share information about myself, my medical practice, and how I thrive.
I was born and raised in Southern California. One of my early interests was the life sciences and in particular marine biology. During my undergraduate years at UCLA, my interest switched to molecular biology. While attending medical school at New York University, I found that working with people was much more enjoyable than working in a laboratory, so I decided to pursue a career in clinical medicine. After four years I returned to California for training in internal medicine at UC San Diego. I stayed there for an additional three-year fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1985 to help open what was then the new medical center in Woodland Hills and have remained on staff ever since. I have been a member of the clinical faculty of the UCLA Department of Medicine, and I am a past president of the Trudeau Society of Los Angeles.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
My practice consists of consultation and management of people with lung conditions who are either seen in my office or while they are hospitalized. I care for people in the intensive care unit, elsewhere in the hospital, and in my office. Our office staff is experienced and committed to providing kind, professional, and timely assistance. I have personally worked with many members of this staff for over two decades. My colleagues in the department are available to assist you during those times that I am not available in the office. I feel honored when people entrust me with their health concerns and strive to provide the most knowledgeable, skillful, and compassionate care possible.
Cómo vivo bien
Balance is an important factor in achieving and maintaining health, and I try to keep that balance in my life. I can be found exercising regularly at the gym and doing long distance running. I enjoy restoring classic cars, hiking, reading, and traveling with my family.
