Welcome to my Web page. I am a full-time physician at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center. I am glad to have a chance to tell you about myself and the type of medicine I practice.
I was born in Iran to a very loving family. At age 12, during the turmoil of revolution, I lost several family members and many of my friends. I decided to become a physician in order to help and serve people. After finishing high school, I came to the United States, where I knew I would be able to receive the best possible education and enjoy intellectual freedom and a vast cultural diversity. Today I am happy with my decision and I am proud to be here.
As a hospitalist physician, I only see members who have been admitted to the hospital. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is that I get to see the daily progress of those under my care. I also have the freedom to spend as much time as I need to evaluate my patients, review their charts, and listen to their thoughts, concerns, stories and even fears. Some people even share their life stories and experiences with me, which is a privilege and also very interesting. For the short time you are under my care, I feel part of your extended family, helping you make the best decisions for your health.
I keep myself active with home improvement, gardening, and sports like volleyball, aerobics, biking, swimming, and running. I stay connected to nature by hiking with my husband and two children. I also enjoy reading and writing poetry. I listen to audio books in the car during my daily commute, but once I arrive home, I become a full-time mother of two very active boys, who keep me super busy, but also nourish me with joy and love.
