Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of the friendly clinical and social environment, and I look forward to contributing to your health and happiness.
I was born in Cairo, Egypt to parents that hailed from the Levant. I grew up in Egypt with frequent sojourns in Lebanon. My mother tongue is French and I was educated at the Jesuit School in Egypt. I've felt compelled to learn about the healing arts and knew by age 14 or 15 that I wanted to be a doctor. I derive intense satisfaction by caring for people and putting them back on the road to health. I was an avid cyclist until an unfortunate accident in January 2007. I still exercise regularly albeit indoors. Cooking is an important hobby of mine insofar as it opens the door to different cultures and flavors.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am a partner at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana. Our site is very busy with a high acuity of illnesses. I bring to my group 35 years of experience in emergency medicine shaped by my training and work at a trauma center and a busy community hospital. I am assistant to the chief of Emergency Medicine in matters of medical education and the physician champion for the Stroke Initiative at both Fontana and Ontario assuring prompt and appropriate treatment of stroke victims. I appreciate the team effort to improve the care our members receive. I am also a Citizen Volunteer in the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Medical Reserve Corps to assist when natural or manmade disasters affect our communities.
Cómo vivo bien
I follow simple rules to stay fit and alert. I eat small frequent meals, exercise regularly, stay hydrated and maintain a strict sleep routine. My family is one of the two focal point of dynamism. The other is my career. Both are exigent and rewarding at the same time.
