Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you, and to tell you a little bit about my background and practice.
I was born in Okinawa, and I became interested in medicine at an early age. Our family moved to the Unites States and then, eventually, to Canada where my family still lives. My interest in medicine continued, and I came out to California to attend medical school in 1982. I enjoyed living in Southern California and we decided to stay in this area after I finished medical school and my residency. I’m married and have three children.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I’ve worked with Kaiser Permanente since 1992, and I’m the physician in charge of the vascular surgery service in Fontana. We have five vascular surgeons at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center, and our practice is devoted strictly to vascular surgery. We perform a wide variety of open vascular procedures such as aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, dialysis access surgery, varicose vein surgery, and peripheral bypass surgery. We also perform all the latest endovascular procedures such as endovascular aneurysm repair, carotid stenting, radiofrequency ablation of the saphenous vein, and peripheral artery angioplasty and stent placement

I believe that to be an effective physician, I have to take care of myself—physically, mentally, and spiritually. In the past few years, I have really embraced the Kaiser Permanente philosophy of living a balanced, healthy life. I started a regular exercise program, and I’m eating more healthfully. Above all, I think it's very important to maintain a positive outlook in life and a thankful spirit. I enjoy traveling, and various outdoor activities such as skiing, camping, baseball, and football.
