Acerca de mí
Namaste! Thank you for visiting my Web page. My name is Nitin Dhamija, and I am an anesthesiologist and an interventional pain medicine specialist. I welcome you to read about my background, education, and credentials, as well as the unique practice model I am part of at the Kaiser Permanente Riverside and Moreno Valley Medical Centers.
Along with my family, I came to the U.S. from India when I was 13. After completing high school, I pursued my undergraduate education at UCLA. My love for science and many profound experiences in medical volunteering inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. I remained at UCLA to complete my medical education, residency in anesthesiology, and fellowship in interventional pain medicine. After almost a decade and a half of education and training at UCLA, I moved back home to the Inland Empire to be with my family and serve the vibrant community here.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am part of a phenomenal group of physicians who provide unparalleled care for members suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. I work closely with primary care doctors, physiatrists, surgeons, and other clinicians to provide comprehensive pain management including medications, physical and occupational therapy, behavioral treatments, and (this is where I aspire to offer my expertise) interventional treatments. I care for a host of pain conditions, including myofascial pain syndromes, neuropathies, radiculopathies, arthritides, cancer pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and many other disease processes. I perform a number of procedures that include trigger point injections, joint and bursa injections, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, sympathetic blocks, and spinal cord stimulation, among other intricate therapies. I work hard to get my members better so that they can ultimately have long-term functional restoration.
Cómo vivo bien
I thrive to maintain an enriched lifestyle by following a vegetarian diet, meditating, and using Bollywood and Bhangra dance forms as part of an exercise routine. I am in the early stages of learning about and incorporating yoga for its unique nature in integrating mind, body, and spirit and thus promoting one's overall well-being.
