Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I have been a staff physician at Mission Viejo Medical Offices for more than 20 years. I enjoy family medicine, especially the long-term relationships I form with my patients and their families.
I was born in Vietnam and came to the United States at age 11. I grew up in Ohio. After graduating from University of Connecticut School of Medicine, I completed my residency in family medicine at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. I have a wonderful husband, and we have two children. I love reading, gardening, music, cooking, travel, and spending time with family.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I see patients ages 12 or older. I emphasize preventive health care—after all, it's better to prevent than to treat. I work with a group of excellent family physicians at Mission Viejo Medical Offices. We help care for one another's patients as needed. If I am not available, one of my colleagues will be happy to assist you. To me, good health does not come without effort. Especially as you get older, you will need to make sure you are eating healthy, getting regular exercise, and having routine screenings as recommended by your doctor. If you are taking medication daily for a condition, regular follow-up is very important. And, of course: no smoking!
Cómo vivo bien
I keep my work and personal lives in balance by spending as much time with my family as possible. I try to eat healthfully: beef once a month, no bacon, no chips, and lots of salads. I do love sweets like ice cream and chocolate, but I try to make up for my indulgences by being active and tending to my garden. Indeed, as I get older, it's definitely harder to keep the weight down. With my Fitbit, I try to walk 10,000 steps most days. I also try to read something that I enjoy every day--this is a big destressor for me.
