Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page! I’m glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I was born in Mandalay, Burma (Myanmar). After high school, my family and I moved to San Francisco, and I completed my undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley. Then I spent four years in the cold climate of Wisconsin, studying medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. After medical school, I moved to sunny Southern California and finished my training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Then I spent an extra year of training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to learn more about caring for critically ill patients, treating pregnant women who have medical conditions, cardiac testing, and teaching residents. I have a supportive wife and two beautiful children. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1991, fulfilling the dream of becoming a doctor that began when I was in the fifth grade. I have been board certified in internal medicine since 1990, and have passed two recertification exams since then. I am also certified as clinical hypertension specialist.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I believe that for me to be successful in my practice, there must be a partnership between the member, the health care support team, and me. This partnership is crucial to the effectiveness of treatment and safety of the members I see. In treating chronic diseases, which are incurable, it is important for the members to participate in care planning.
Cómo vivo bien
In my free time, I keep myself fit and relaxed by exercising, listening to soothing music, watching movies, meditating, traveling, and photographing nature.
