Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It is so important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I have lived in Southern California all my life and love the climate and the city life this area offers. I started my time with Kaiser Permanente right after I completed my residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the field of internal medicine. I have been a part of Kaiser Permanente now for more than 20 years and have enjoyed working here with my colleagues and caring for the members I meet. Working here has fulfilled my dream of being able to practice excellent medicine and to provide thoughtful care for my members, while at the same time it has given me the opportunity to pursue a well-balanced lifestyle that includes my family, basketball, fishing, and church activities.
For the first 10 years, I worked as an internist, holding a clinic practice with many members. However, in the last 15 years I have been a full-time hospitalist, devoting all my care to members to have been admitted to the hospital. I enjoy this because it allows me more flexibility to allocate my time to whoever or wherever the need is the greatest. I have more time to talk with members and families of members and not be confined to appointments.
I try to keep a healthy lifestyle by consistently exercising, whether that's at a gym or joining a basketball league. I also strive to watch my diet by increasing my fruit and vegetable content over fats and greasy foods. I also value balancing my life with activities outside of medicine including involvement in my church, my children's school activities, and sports.
