Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my practice. I’m a physician whose passion lies in the field of developmental-behavioral pediatrics.
I was born in Tehran, Iran. I came with my family to the United States when I was four years old. I chose to become a physician because of my desire to help people heal and to better people's lives. Working at Kaiser Permanente gives me the opportunity to do these things on a daily basis. While in medical school, I fell in love with pediatrics. I enjoy working with kids of all ages. Pediatrics is such a rewarding field because there is so much opportunity to have a positive impact on a child's current and future health, development, and behavior. I’m happily married. My wife and I have a wonderful son who shares in my other passions—creative writing, storytelling, chess, and backgammon. I also have a love for poetry.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am a board-certified developmental-behavioral pediatrician who helps children with temper tantrums, sibling rivalry, oppositional defiant disorder, and difficult toilet training. Also, I take care of children with developmental delays (ages three and above), and autistic children who have already been diagnosed. I help diagnose and treat mild (not severe) psychiatric conditions like obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, depression, tics, and Tourette's syndrome. I specialize mostly in ADD, and ADHD evaluation, and treatment. In my evaluation of a child who is struggling, I ask about environmental difficulties, developmental problems, learning disabilities, or psychiatric disorders to better understand the child.
Cómo vivo bien
I believe to be truly healthy you need to be healthy in your mind, body, and spirit. I keep myself physically healthy by going to the gym for 45 minutes two to three times per week. I try to eat less fat, more vegetables, more fruits, less processed foods, and more white meat. For a healthy mind and spirit, I spend quality time with my family, laugh more, and enjoy the beautiful moments of my life. It's also important for me to express my creativity through writing and poetry. I’m not just a physician, but also a husband, a father, a brother, a son, and a human being.
