Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my work as a physician and physician administrator at Kaiser Permanente.
I grew up farming and ranching in the Midwest and the South. I had a passion for medicine and went to medical school at the University of Colorado, where I was introduced to orthopedic surgery. It was a perfect fit for my interests in medicine and mechanics. I completed my internship and residency at UC San Diego and my fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa, Florida. I have done several overseas medical missions and am active on the National Health Care for the Homeless Council.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and have practiced for more than 18 years at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center. In 2005, I transitioned into my administrative role as chief of the Department of Orthopedics in Fontana. I feel fortunate to be able to work at Kaiser Permanente as both a physician and an administrator. I specialize in managing the care of children who have significant orthopedic needs. It can be both very challenging and rewarding to assist families in the care of these children, and it is always a joy to watch the children grow and thrive with the care they receive. Surgery as a career is a very special opportunity to connect with and help people in meaningful ways, utilizing medical skills and knowledge but also listening and responding to what patients need.
