Acerca de mí
Hi! This is your opportunity to learn a little more about me. I think It's important to be comfortable with your doctor so that together we can make the best decisions for your care.
When I was growing up, my family moved around quite a lot, finally settling in the San Fernando Valley. I was the first in my family to ever finish college. After college, I went to UCLA School of Medicine. From the time I was 10, I knew I would go into medicine; but only as long as I could keep getting those good grades. I liked the idea of caring for others and I enjoyed science. The doctors I met were role models for me; they were confident, kind and helpful. They inspired me and kept me focused on my goal through many years of training. Out of the office, I enjoy playing tennis and collecting art. I support young, talented up-and-coming local artists and I enjoy our museums. My wife and I love to travel and enjoy collecting folk art from interesting locales, particularly Southeast Asia. You can see some photos from those places in my office.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
When I see a new patient, I want her to feel she was well taken care of so she would want to return. Developing a relationship with a patient over time allows for better care. I can better anticipate the needs and expectations of my patients as I get to know them - and having those relationships is most rewarding to me. My team here tries very hard to keep things running smoothly during the day, but there are bumps that come up invariably. I try to see each patient in a timely way and let you know if we are running late. In return, we ask that you do your best to make your appointment on time. I always invite feedback about your experience in our clinic, from your interactions with the front desk staff, my nurse and with me so we may serve you better.

Preventive care and maintaining good health is a cornerstone of my practice, and I try to practice what I preach. In addition to playing tennis, I try to go to the gym two or three times a week. With our busy schedules nowadays, it's hard to keep that as a priority, but it is important. I also go hiking and jogging while on vacation, wherever I may be. Some downtime is important. After a stressful day, reading, listening to some music or watching TV can be very relaxing. Sometimes, getting away from the house and phone and doing nothing on a short vacation can be just the ticket. I am always striving for that ying/yang balance in life, following some intensive activity with relaxation; stimulation followed with quiet and reflection. I try to eat healthily and watch my weight. Perhaps most important, I treasure my family and my friends and honor the time spent with them.
