Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician and as a physician administrator at Kaiser Permanente.
I was born in Argentina and immigrated to the United States with my family when I was an infant. Even though I’ve lived in this country almost my entire life, my parents made sure that I maintained fluency in my native language: Spanish. I have been interested in the field of psychiatry since I was an adolescent. I was and still remain fascinated by human behavior and the processes that lead to mental illness.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am a psychiatrist and have been at Kaiser Permanente since 2005. In 2012, I transitioned into my administrative role as the chief of service for the Psychiatry Department at Woodland Hills Medical Center. I feel fortunate to be able to work at Kaiser Permanente, both as a psychiatrist providing care to my patients and as an administrator looking for ways to improve service to our members. One of my main philosophies in the practice of medicine is that treatment is a collaborative approach between patients, their physicians, and other treatment providers. I encourage my patients to participate fully in the medical decision-making process and to engage actively in their treatment. One of my areas of expertise in adult psychiatry is treating women who have psychiatric issues that occur during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, or perimenopause. I am committed to my efforts to provide high-quality care to my patients.
Cómo vivo bien
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me in order to maintain a healthy and positive attitude. I have a passion for swimming—a sport I have been involved with since childhood. I make sure to take care of myself in mind, body, and spirit so I can dedicate my time to what is most important to me: spending time with my loved ones and caring for my patients.
