Acerca de mí
Welcome to my web page. My hope is that if we do encounter each other in the hospital, I can make your stay go more smoothly and pleasantly.
I was born in Portland, Oregon, but moved to the Los Angeles area when I was 4 years old. I grew up in the Torrance area and went to USC for my undergraduate studies (go, Trojans!). I then went to medical school at Western University in Pomona, did my residency in Phoenix, and then came back to Los Angeles for my Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. I became a Psychiatrist due to my long and fascinating interest in mental health and my desire to help those who are usually overlooked.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I mainly work in the Emergency Department and the medical/surgical floors at the West Los Angeles Medical Center, handing Psychiatric consultations. Psychiatric patients have unique needs that demand unique attention and care and that often get overlooked in the general medical setting. My hope is that anyone in the medical center with psychiatric issues will feel relieved when I (or my colleagues) can be of assistance to make sure that your experience in the hospital is a smooth one.
Cómo vivo bien
I firmly believe in living a life of balance, making sure that one is always pursuing various interests that make life fulfilling and worth living. Outside of work, I maintain a regular regime of working out, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a variety of outdoor activities, and chasing my son around the house. I have always believed that a regular regime of physical activity strengthens the mind and the heart. Spending time with family and friends is also something that I always make time for because they are the ones that help me to achieve what I have done and add to the enjoyment of my life.
