Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. This is where you can learn a little more about myself and my practice.
I lived in Hawaii for most of my young life until age 18. I moved to Oregon to attend college at Lewis and Clark College where I received my bachelors degree in science. I remained in Oregon to attend medical school at Oregon Health Sciences University. I moved out to Southern California for my residency training in emergency medicine at Loma Linda University. After my training was complete, I accepted a job here at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana in 2001 I am currently a partner physician and the quality improvement representative for our department.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I practice in the field of emergency medicine. My colleagues and I share a similar philosophy. We, like every specialty, are trained in a specific part of medicine. We deal with acute medical problems for all members from newborns to 100+ year olds. My colleagues and I are working hard to see every member that comes through our department. When you are experiencing an emergency, we want you to be seen in a timely fashion and with care and compassion. However because of our limited resources, we ask that if you do not have an emergency medical condition, please contact your doctor's office for an appointment.
Cómo vivo bien
I feel that the key to a healthy life is to learn to manage the stresses that we encounter in life. I see it every day in my practice. The people who are able to deal with stress do not become as acutely ill as other people. Also, when they do become ill, they are able to deal with illness with a better outlook and a better outcome. As an emergency medicine physician, I deal with stressful situations every day. Managing my own stress helps me to stay focused on my job, so that I can take better care of my patients.
