Welcome to my Web page. I appreciate the opportunity to share this information with you, and I hope you find it useful.
I was born and raised in sunny Florida and did the majority of my initial training there. I joined the U.S. Navy Reserve during my radiology residency to do more traveling and serve my country. While on active duty, I was stationed in California and grew to love the diversity of the region. Having been in the military, I had a strong commitment to preventive health care and felt that Kaiser Permanente's preventive care philosophy was an excellent way to care for people. I enjoy traveling with my wife and two young boys as well as quiet times at home and at the beach.
I began my career as head of the radiology department at a U.S. Navy hospital. I was named Junior Officer of the Quarter for helping to optimize the women's imaging service and providing staff education. I later received a Navy Achievement Medal for designing a women's imaging program. I also oversaw the activities of 35 worldwide multidisciplinary breast-imaging centers. As a civilian, I was the director of women's imaging at a comprehensive cancer center in Palm Springs. Now, at Kaiser Permanente, I continue to enjoy serving the needs of our female members.
I believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in body, mind, and spirit, and I try to practice it in my life every day. I enjoy family camping trips, time at the beach, and game and movie nights. I have become an avid runner over the years while training for and participating in the Los Angeles Triathlon and an Ironman triathlon. I look forward to future physical challenges to keep me healthy and active.
