Acerca de mí
Hello, and thank you for visiting my Web page. I appreciate the opportunity to introduce myself, and share a bit about my pediatrics practice. It is an honor and privilege to be entrusted with the care of your child's health. I am the oldest of six children. One of my brothers was born with a heart problem that required multiple surgeries. His experience, and the impact of his illness on my family inspired me to pursue medicine. The pain our family felt every time he got sick or needed surgery made me want to be a doctor and support patients and their families in times of medical crisis.
I earned an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from UC Riverside, attended medical school at the Drew/UCLA medical program, and did my training in pediatrics at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. I feel honored to have obtained my education from such respected academic institutions that emphasize attending to underserved communities with care and compassion. After living in Los Angeles for over ten years, I decided to return to the Inland Empire to be close to my family. It has been a blessing to be able to celebrate birthdays and holidays with them again, and to see my nieces and nephews grow up.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I absolutely love what I do. I feel truly privileged to be a physician, and care for children's health. Do you notice how all your stress disappears when you see your child smile? Well, they have the same effect on me. Even if I am tired from doing a long shift, the innocent and excited smile of a child as I enter the exam room makes all my stress melt away. I believe in working together as a unit in being advocates for your child's health. You know your child better than anyone else, and I sincerely value your input. Please feel free to share your cultural or spiritual values with me, as I believe these are very important to your child's overall wellbeing.
Cómo vivo bien
One of my passions is learning languages. I speak Spanish fluently. I also learned to speak Italian during a portion of my medical training in Rome, in the pediatric intensive care unit at the Hospital of the Pope. It was an experience of a lifetime. I value and appreciate other cultures, and plan to continue learning other languages. I also absolutely love trying cuisines from around the world, and traveling and experiencing other cultures with my husband. Some of my hobbies are oil painting, playing classical guitar, and riding my bicycle.
