Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am delighted to have this opportunity to introduce myself and share my clinical practice philosophy with you. I look forward to helping you with your digestive health care today and in the future.
I was born and raised in Michigan, where I received my undergraduate and medical degrees with honors from the University of Michigan. On a rainy day in Ann Arbor, my wife and I decided to move west, where I completed my internal medicine and gastroenterology training at UCLA. During this time, I also completed a health services research fellowship at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center and a master's degree in health services from the UCLA School of Public Health. After finishing that training, I worked as a clinician and clinical investigator at UCLA until joining Kaiser Permanente in 2005.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
My daily goal in my practice is to provide timely, high-quality health care to members with gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. I strongly believe that the best way to deliver this sort of care is with a team approach. Our team here consists of office staff, nurses, physicians, and most importantly, you, our patient. The team benefits from a state-of-the-art electronic medical record system, which keeps us connected to your health information. Together, we will do everything we can to give you the information and advice you need to make informed decisions about your health care.
Cómo vivo bien
I balance my interesting medical work with an equally rich and fulfilling family life. In my free time, I provide volunteer teaching and health care at the Veteran Administration's West Los Angeles Healthcare Center and at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where I am an assistant clinical professor of medicine. I also remain active in research and educational activities as an author and reviewer for medical journals, as well as through service with regional and national GI professional societies. The latter has included serving a term as president of the Southern California Society of Gastroenterology.
