Acerca de mí
Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to visit my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
One of my favorite aspects of working at Kaiser Permanente is the balance it allows me to have with the rest of my life—my husband and two beautiful daughters, my friends, and my hobbies! I am blessed to be back in the O.C. (where I was raised) after living first in Mexico, and then the East Coast, for nearly 10 years. Living in Mexico for four years was a great chance for me to learn to hablar en espanol!
Acerca de mi práctica médica
Part of my motivation to become an obstetrician/gynecologist comes from my family history—women on both sides of my family were victims of breast cancer. Watching the effects of this disease certainly influenced me in choosing a career in medicine generally, and ob/gyn specifically. It has also made me more aware of the importance of healthy living and regular checkups and how much we all can benefit from an honest and trusting relationship with our physician. Minimally invasive surgery is my other passion in member care. The benefits of laparoscopic surgeries are never-ending. I'm also one of the few physicians in the area to perform an in-office, permanent birth control procedure, which I can discuss with you if you're interested.
Cómo vivo bien
Living a healthy life is something that we all have to work at, and physicians and nurses are no exception! I try to eat a balanced diet, exercise at least twice a week, and spend time with my family and friends to relieve stress. Most of my free time is spent with my husband and daughters, and I wouldn't change that for anything!
