Acerca de mí
Welcome! I am delighted to introduce myself and tell you about my practice.
I was born and raised in New Jersey. From a young age, I knew I wanted to become a physician and make a difference in the lives of others. I came from a humble upbringing, and my decade-long medical training in diverse cities has brought me a deep appreciation for all walks of life. I graduated college from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh with academic and research honors. I studied medicine at Tulane in New Orleans and was part of the first class to start after the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. I completed my internal medicine internship and residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Finally, I received my clinical gastroenterology and hepatology training from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where I also spent time in the Clinical Scholars Program at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am interested in all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology. I read daily to keep up to date. I have written multiple peer-reviewed articles, including first-author publications in leading journals such as Hepatology, Diseases of the Esophagus, and Clinical Gastroenterology & Hepatology. I have delivered first-author oral presentations at both the largest gastroenterology conferences: American College of Gastroenterology and Digestive Diseases Week. I participated in clinical studies and research that include Helicobacter pylori infection, hepatitis B and C, multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) type 1, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and small bowel neuroendocrine tumors (carcinoids). My practice consists of an outstanding team of colleague physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other health care providers that are committed to delivering high-quality member-centered care. I am the recipient of the 2017 Clinical Excellence Award at Kaiser Permanente.
