Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am delighted to have the opportunity to introduce myself and to tell you about my practice. Since 2007, I’ve been the physician advisor at the Regional Case Coordination Center in Downey. As a physician, I strive to provide members with good and compassionate care. As an administrator, I want to ensure Kaiser Permanente members admitted to outside facilities are also receiving high-quality care.
I was born in Saigon, Vietnam. My parents immigrated to the United States when Saigon fell in 1975. I am the oldest of six children. Fortunately, through the generosity of our sponsors, my family and I were given a second chance. The journey to the United States and our initial living conditions left lasting impressions. The suffering I witnessed and experienced made me decide on a career in medicine. I attended the Keck School of Medicine (USC), followed by a residency in internal medicine at UC Irvine Medical Center. Afterwards, I joined Kaiser Permanente Fontana and have been practicing internal medicine there for more than 15 years. I’ve been married to my beautiful wife for over 15 years, and we have three sons. I love spending time with my family. They make life so much more meaningful. We enjoy going to amusement parks, movies, and restaurants.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I decided to become an internist because I thought it would be rewarding and challenging. It has definitely been an adventure. My training has allowed me to take care of very complex cases. I feel honored and privileged to have the opportunity to care for so many members. The personal satisfaction of helping patients through their difficult illnesses cannot be described with words. It’s great to be part of the Fontana Medical Center. My role as an administrator has also been challenging and rewarding. Patients and families are very appreciative to know that even when they’re admitted to an outside facility, Kaiser Permanente is still reaching out to ensure proper care.
Cómo vivo bien
I strongly believe that good health involves three components: diet, exercise, and “me” time. I enjoy playing tennis and running. “Me” time simply means time for hobbies. This takes me away from the stresses of life and is very therapeutic. I love college football (I am an avid USC fan), the NFL, and the NBA. I also enjoy driving and reading about sport cars.
