Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our members, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I grew up in San Diego, and went to San Francisco for my undergraduate education. I returned to San Diego for a short time and started a master's degree in computer science. This was not as satisfying as I had hoped; I then moved to Australia for medical school. I continued my medical training in Philadelphia, where I quickly found out how much I couldn't stand the snow and shoveling the street and sidewalks. I met my wife in Philadelphia and we quickly moved back to sunny Southern California. I am very happy with my decision to become a physician and especially happy about my decision to return to my roots in Southern California.
I am a broadly trained vascular surgeon and my practice consists of both endovascular and traditional vascular surgery. I mostly treat elderly people but see a broad mix of members. My practice consists of procedures for dialysis access, aneurysms, carotid disease, varicose veins, and lower extremity procedures, including bypass procedures and endovascular procedures. I also perform minimally invasive varicose vein procedures as well as minimally invasive aneurysm procedures.
My family life is my balance. I am extremely active in my children’s lives, and particularly enjoy spending time with them and my wife. I enjoy hiking in the trails around West Hills and Los Angeles with my family and dog. To keep fit, I swim with the Masters' swim team several times a week and walk on the weekends.
