Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I would like to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and to tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born in Burma, moved to England when I was 3, and then to San Francisco at age 15. When I was 9 years old, my cousin stayed with us while he was studying medicine. It was that experience that made me want to become a doctor. I attended UC Riverside for two years, and then transferred to the University of San Francisco, where I received my bachelor’s degree in biology and master’s degree in molecular biology. I volunteered as a medical assistant at the Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic for two years while I was in college. I did research at UC San Francisco in the Urology Department for two years and had three articles published prior to entering medical school. I’ve lived in Southern California since medical school. My husband and I have two daughters and a son.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
When I volunteered at the Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic, I saw how doctors could make a difference in people’s lives and saw the compassionate care the patients received. I knew that I, too, wanted to make a difference in the lives of my patients. Being a doctor is a unique opportunity to help guide people in making educated choices on how to become or stay healthy. I feel very honored that my patients have entrusted me with their care, and I strive to treat them as I would my own family. My colleagues and I work as a team. If I am not available, one of my colleagues will care for you.
Cómo vivo bien
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. My family life is my major priority. I spend my spare time supporting my children in their extracurricular interests, which include dancing, singing, karate, gymnastics, and art classes. I also enjoy reading. I started training in martial arts in 2008 and have earned a green/brown belt.
