Acerca de mí
Hello, I’m Dr. Cindy Uypitching, a family medicine physician with Kaiser Permanente’s Lancaster offices. As my member, you’ll have a doctor who truly loves what she does, takes the time to listen to your concerns, and views you as a whole person, not just as a medical condition. I try to treat each member as if they were a member of my own family.
Born in Ohio to parents who were both physicians, we moved back to the Philippines when I was 4 years old. I grew up seeing their good work but really was not compelled to enter medicine. While rather reticent at the beginning, I gave it a shot, and it turned out I loved it! I went to medical school in the Philippines but returned to the United States to do my internship and residency, first at UCSF-Fresno Medical Center’s internal medicine program and later at the USC/California Hospital family medicine residency program. Joining Kaiser Permanente in 2012, I was impressed by their team approach to medicine. Everyone here is dedicated to trying to help members get better and stay well.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
Getting to know members and their needs is important to me. I try to explore the underlying issues, which may be contributing to a condition, not just the condition itself. Perhaps it’s a bit of the philosophy major showing through, but I believe that a happy heart and mind leads to a healthy body. When it comes to maintaining good health, I believe in the old adage, ‘All things in moderation.’ There is no need to go overboard with anything. Just think about what you eat and do, then choose the healthy alternative as much as possible.
Cómo vivo bien
Spending time with my family is very important to me. I enjoy cooking and exploring new restaurants. We also love to scuba dive, so we’ve traveled to the far corners of the globe to find great dive spots. We've seen a lot of Asia and many parts of the United States. Learning new cultures and its people helps me see and understand everyone as part of a bigger picture.
