Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born on the beautiful island of Taiwan and moved to Japan when I was 13 years old. In 1980, after living in Tokyo, Japan, for two years, I came to Los Angeles to search for my American dream. However, It was not until my senior year in college that I decided to become a doctor so that I could help people. I appreciate the art of medical science and the level of interaction with other people. After I received my medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, I completed a three-year family medicine residency training at San Bernardino County Medical Center (now known as Arrowhead Regional Medical Center). I have been practicing family medicine at the Kaiser Permanente Diamond Bar Medical Office since 2008, after 10 years of medical service at the Montebello Medical Offices.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
As an immigrant, I realized the importance of helping others who did not understand the medical system or could not speak English. I advocate for culturally responsive care. I am a member of the Baldwin Park Medical Center diversity council. I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to help you when you are sick. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health.
Cómo vivo bien
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I have volunteered at the Tzu Chi Free Clinic since 1996. Through the Tzu Chi organization, I have participated in many international medical relief operations in Mexico, El Salvador, and Haiti. Since 2005, I have enjoyed providing medical information to students who are involved in Baldwin Park’s Hippocrates Circle Program, a Kaiser Permanente mentoring program that encourages students from underprivileged socioeconomic backgrounds to pursue careers in medicine. I have also enjoyed providing medical information to the TV audience. As a regular guest on local Chinese talk shows, I have provided a great deal of valuable medical information to this audience. I also serve as physician lead for both Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center’s annual Community Giving Campaign and October Domestic Violence Awareness Month activities. I enjoy playing tennis with my three children.
