Acerca de mí
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. Choosing a physician for your child can be an overwhelming process when you want a knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate doctor who will also help your child feel at ease. I hope this page will help you get to know me better so that you will feel confident in the specialist that you choose to care for your child.
After growing up in Los Angeles, I did not expect to be away from California for so long when I first left home to study biomedical engineering at Yale University. Before I started medical school at Vanderbilt University, I volunteered full time through AmeriCorps to help refugee families navigate the challenges of starting a new life in an unfamiliar country. My residency training in head and neck surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine took me to New York City. Although I was yearning to return home, I sought advanced fellowship training in pediatric head and neck surgery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the busiest and top-ranked children's hospital in the nation. After a 16-year-long journey of rigorous education and training, I am now thrilled to share my knowledge, skills, and experiences to help children with complex medical problems in the entire Southern California region.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
As a pediatric head and neck surgeon, I treat a diverse spectrum of ear, nose, throat, and airway disorders in children including ear infections, obstructive sleep apnea, noisy breathing, airway stenosis, throat infections, sinus problems, vascular malformations and other masses in the head and neck. A significant part of my practice includes caring for children with special needs including hearing loss, complex medical syndromes, and the need to breathe through a tracheostomy tube. While it is not possible to cure every medical problem, I work closely with a comprehensive team of specialists to minimize the impact of chronic illnesses on children while maximizing their potential and quality of life.

As a mother myself, I understand how stressful a child's illness or surgery is for a parent. I thrive as a physician and as a mother when I can go home at the end of each day knowing that I have done everything possible to ease every child's fear and every parent's anxiety by patiently and thoroughly explaining a problem and, if needed, the proposed surgery. I respect the privilege and expectation to provide exceptional care for your child as I would want for my own. When I am with my own growing family, we love going to the zoo, traveling, hiking, swimming, reading, afternoons in the park, listening to music, and spending time with friends and extended family. There is never enough time for everything we want to do!
