Acerca de mí
I am a neurologist and specialist in multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases of the nervous system.
I grew up in Los Angeles. Ever since I was young, I have had an interest in health, science, and medicine. My undergraduate education was at the University of California at Berkeley, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in molecular and cellular biology with an emphasis in genetics and development. I attended medical school in Philadelphia at Drexel University College of Medicine. My internal medicine internship and neurology residency training were at Kaiser Permanente’s Los Angeles Medical Center (LAMC), and I completed a fellowship in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology at USC (as well at LAMC). I live with my wife in Los Angeles.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am primarily specialized in multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases of the nervous system. However, I also practice general neurology, and I periodically cover the Los Angeles Medical Center hospital and the Southern California regional stroke service. I also perform Botox® injections for neurological conditions such as headache, hemifacial spasm, and spasticity. I’ve also been involved in various clinical trials and other epidemiologic studies, primarily in relation to multiple sclerosis. Articles on my studies have been published in many peer-reviewed journals. I am very optimistic about the future development of multiple sclerosis therapies. I believe that at Kaiser Permanente we have a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality care based on current research and evidence.
