Hi, and welcome to my Web page. I am happy to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice.
Not only am I a physician at Kaiser Permanente, but I was born at Kaiser Permanente in Southern California! I did my undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley (go, Bears!) and then moved to New York for medical school. Though I loved NYC, the beautiful weather and my family brought me back to Southern California to do my residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at UCLA. I now live in Orange County with my husband, son, and daughter. I feel very fortunate to be both a physician and member of Kaiser Permanente, where I know we strive to provide high-quality health care for our members.
My practice consists of a group of gastroenterologists who are all hard-working, dedicated, and compassionate physicians who I would trust my own family with. In addition, the nursing staff and assistants all work together to provide high-quality care. For me personally, an important part of your care is making sure you understand your illness. I will do my best to explain your diagnosis, treatment options, and what we can do to make you better using easy-to-understand language, diagrams, and handouts.
I believe staying healthy and happy requires balancing aspects of physical and mental health. From running on the treadmill listening to my favorite beats to Sunday night family yoga with my kids, I have learned that taking the extra 30 minutes out of your day for these types of activities goes a long way in helping you feel well both physically and mentally. Spending time with my friends and family is very important to me and is also a large part of my well-being. And of course, I cannot agree more that "laughter is the best medicine"!
