Acerca de mí
Hello! Welcome to my Web page. My name is Dr. Lallande (pronounced "La - Lawnd"). Thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself and share a bit about my background so you will feel more comfortable when we meet.
Most of my childhood was spent in Orange County. I spent a gap year studying abroad in Portugal, went to college at UC Davis, and then attended University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston for medical school and general adult psychiatry residency and was chief resident for my child/adolescent fellowship. We absolutely loved Houston and Texas, but we also missed Southern California, so when a job opportunity arose in Orange County in 2010, we happily returned. Since that time, I have been practicing in community mental health clinics in Los Angeles and Orange County. I chose to specialize in child/adolescent psychiatry because of the impact I observed of attachment and early childhood play in establishing the foundation for a healthy lifestyle and family mental health. I very much enjoy encouraging children, adolescents, young adults, and parents at every life stage to continue to take pride in their accomplishments and reach their potential.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am grateful to have a strong team of dedicated therapists and nurses at Kaiser Permanente who work hand in hand with me to support you and help you optimize your health and well-being. I am certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both child/adolescent and adult psychiatry so that I may continue to support my youngest members, beginning in early childhood through transitional ages into adulthood, while also supporting parents. And I am developing my Spanish proficiency to improve my Spanish communication skills. I believe therapy, a healthy diet, quality sleep, and regular exercise are important parts of most psychiatric treatments. It would be my great privilege to partner with you in caring for your mental health and/or that of your child.
Cómo vivo bien
Balance in life is one of the key elements that help me to thrive. I try to live by the advice I give others: exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, nurture healthy and loving relationships, manage your stress, get adequate sleep, maintain preventive medicine and wellness checks, enjoy the moment, take most things in moderation, and maintain a balance of life activities. We maintain work-life balance by spending time as a family outdoors, at the beach, in the water, gardening, and enjoying our many pets. I also make it a priority to set aside quiet time to just relax with a good book.
