Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our members, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your child's physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and most of my education was completed there. I didn't have much as a child, but I always dreamt of being a great doctor. When I was 22, I got a scholarship from the Soviet Union to study medicine, and spent seven years studying there. I went back to Sri Lanka and practiced medicine in rural and urban areas. I met a beautiful woman and got married to her. We moved to the United States because of the amazing opportunities this country has to offer. Two more wonderful people entered my life: my children. I did my residency at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso, Texas. I completed my residency in 2000, moved to the Antelope Valley, and started working as a pediatrician. In 2002, I joined Kaiser Permanente and fulfilled another one of my dreams. I continue to pursue this dream.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what members need. Being a doctor allows people to share with me their innermost secrets, fears, and hopes. It is a privilege to help members understand what concerns them, translate what they may not grasp, facilitate getting them appropriate evaluations, and communicate with them and their families. I feel very honored that members have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.
Cómo vivo bien
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I eat healthy and exercise even with a hectic schedule, and I still find time for activities with my family.
