Acerca de mí
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I graduated magna cum laude in biochemical sciences from Harvard University. I received my MD and PhD degrees from the Medical Scientist Training Program from the New York University School of Medicine, and then completed my residency at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital. I have published extensively in medical journals on topics ranging from cellular aging to novel surgical techniques. I am board certified in dermatology. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I was the associate director of the Dermatology Department at Elmhurst Hospital Center. I completed a fellowship in procedural dermatology from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) as a Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. I also perform laser and cosmetic dermatology.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
My practice consists of general medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and skin cancer surgery (basal cell, squamous cell, and melanoma). I was also recruited to start Mohs micrographic surgery, a highly precise method of removing skin cancers, at Kaiser Permanente’s West Los Angeles Medical Center. This method has the highest cure rate available and gives skin cancer patients the option of excising skin cancer while minimizing the extent of scarring. In addition, working with other specialists such as plastic surgeons on challenging cases helps ensure that skin cancer patients receive optimal care.
